ValueLicensing’s Business Development Manager is back in his role as professional caddie for the World Cup of Golf

ValueLicensing’s own James Williams, is back supporting Scottish Professional Golfer, Russell Knox, this time at the ISPS Handa, Melbourne World Cup of Golf in Australia.

Packed with his laptop and ValueLicensing branded golf caps, James flew out of the UK on Saturday with his sights set on supporting Russell Knox and his teammate, Martin Laird, to victory.

This is not the first time that James has travelled abroad for his role as a professional caddie whilst working for ValueLicensing. James escaped the office earlier this year and was able to continue his Business Development role whilst caddying for Knox during the three European Tour summer events; the French Open, the Irish Open and the Scottish Open. Balancing his time between supporting Knox on the golf course and ensuring that his business contacts were efficiently communicated to, James succeeded in all areas; Knox won the Irish Open and James successfully kept up-to-date with his work for the business development department.

ValueLicensing believes in supporting its employees to achieve in both inside and outside of work and with James being invited to support Knox in another professional tournament, it was opportunity not to miss. Not only does James continue to retain his caddying talent that he has developed over the last 24 years to a professional level, but the business also benefits. Wearing his ValueLicensing branded cap throughout the Open tournaments and networking at any opportunity, James stated that “enquiries trebled whilst I was caddying, and the momentum from LinkedIn and Twitter boosted the business no end”.

The first round of the ISPS Handa Melbourne World Cup of Golf 21/11/2018 at 10:05pm GMT and the tournament ends on Sunday 25th November. We wish James and the Scottish team of Knox and Laird the best of luck!
